Great Loving Father

our church is celebrating our 200th year anniversary this year, so this is about that, it is to the tune of "how sweet and awful is the place" by Isaac Watts

Great loving Father of our past,
who held us in a hand.
You kept us in the strongest grasp,
and still today we stand.

Without you Lord we would have fell,
forgotten long ago.
But in our midst Your Spirit dwells,
You made our hearts Your home.

We pray for strength to stay the course,
to never lose our faith.
And always praise our wondrous source,
of sovereign matchless grace.

Incline our hearts to tell the world,
Your strong and saving might.
That they may come to know You Lord,
Our love and great delight.

The wonder of the wonderful,
who makes the sinners whole.
The beauty of the beautiful,
the lover of our souls.
